For Mark Krebs, the season's biggest victory could be Senior Day

Sometimes we have to take a step back and look and see that as much as we adore and in some cases idolize the UK basketball players, they are in fact still college students. With real life concerns and issues that transcend basketball. Case in point is UK senior Mark Krebs and the heroic battle his Mom has waged with cancer for the last eight years.

Having lost my own Mother, I can understand what Krebs is going through and would hope that all the BBN take a few minutes to send positive thoughts Kreb's way. Jerry Tipton of the Herald Leader did a great job with a story on Krebs and his mother and the battles they have waged, and the perspective it has brought to their lives. While most UK fans dream of a final four, Terri Krebs considers it a major victory to be able to watch her son jump through that paper hoop on Senior Day.

If you are in the Northern Kentucky area on Friday, here is information on a fundraiser being held for Terri Krebs.
