Thanks to former UK basketball players Bobby Perry and JP Blevins, plus a talented team of IT experts and sportsfans, you no longer have to trust the guy with the pushy demeanor and unique smell. Just whip out your IPhone and go to your "Game Day App" and you can see a seating chart, check out the weather forecast, and even call the box office to see if better seats are available.
Being a huge iphone fan, I have gotten and deleted several sports apps already, finding them insufficient or just working most of the time. I am happy to say that my search is over. The GameDay App goes much deeper than any other sports app I have purchased. It allows you to get directions to the game, provides a link to the rosters for both teams, go to several media sources for both teams to see exactly what kind of smack the opposing players may have talked. It also provides the handy TV/broadcast information, as well as the current Vegas line if you are so inclined.
My favorite part is that it combines all the Wildcat and former Wildcat's twitter accounts so you can easily follow the latest tweets and keep up on those addicting 140 character updates. Now the best part about this app is the price as it is just a measley $2.99. It's worth that just for the part of the application that has all the UK blogs/newsources on one page to give you easy access to all your workday reading material. And yes, I am very happy to say that the Wildcat Blue In a Sea of Orange link is listed as well so you can follow ... me on your iphone.
To get to the application, just go to your itunes, and do a search for Kentucky GameDayApp and it is the one with the white state outline on a blue background. For more information, go to www.gamedayapp.com . And I know you are getting ready to ask ... the basketball version will be available VERY SOON. So try out the football app for now, and I will let you know when the basketball app is ready.
