Looking to shore up UK's linebacking corps after Micah and Sam Maxwell graduate this year, UK signed LB Avery Williamson from Milan, HS in Tennessee. This is a pretty good grab for UK as he is a solid 3* recruit. Here is what ESPN has to say about Avery:
Williamson is a talented an athletic fullback and linebacker. He has good size along with speed and quickness. As a fullback, hits the hole quickly and can make sharp cuts in the openfield. Has good vision and can get to the second level instantly. Catches the football with ease and be a running threat to the defense once he is in space. A very good knee bender on defense and keeps tempo on the ball carrier. Keeps excellent leverage on the football and close on the runner disallowing the cutback. Moves well laterally and can change direction with ease. Takes good pursuit angles to the football. Williamson has the athletic ability to be a major contributor to his team at the next level. He has as huge upside and the frame to add both strength and bulk. He runs well and is a smart and instinctive football player.
