So, as you can see, UK is leading the standings any way you slice it when you combine both the men's and women's team. How often has that happened this late in the season? Everybody sees and wants to know how the men's team is doing, but the women's team is a great team this year as well, being ranked for the 1st time in 3 seasons. Hopefully both teams can finish their seasons strong so we can stay atop the SEC basketball world.
Just an added extra, here are the most combined wins by both the UK men's and women's basketball team in a single season:
1979-1980: 53-11 (.828)
1977-1978: 53-14 (.791)
1985-1986: 50-15 (.769)
1998-1999: 49-20 (.710)
1992-1993: 48-14 (.774)
1997-1998: 48-19 (.716)
1980-1981: 47-12 (.797)
1982-1983: 46-13 (.780)
1981-1982: 46-16 (.742)
2004-2005: 46-22 (.676)
